Description

Federal Communications Commission adds Kaspersky to list of threats to US national security

On 25 March 2022, the Russian anti-virus and cybersecurity provider Kaspersky Lab was added to the "List of Equipment and Services That Pose Security Threat" by the Federal Communications Commission (FCC). This bans the company from all US government networks and disqualifies the company from receiving any FCC funds. Kaspersky is the first Russian entity to be added to the list, which includes mostly Chinese companies. In addition to Karspersky, China Telecom (Americas) Corp, and China Mobile International USA Inc are part of the list.
