Indonesia: Ministry of Communication and Digital Affairs confirmed Roblox's compliance with age verification requirements

On 30 April 2026, the Ministry of Communication and Digital Affairs confirmed that Roblox complied with Government Regulation Number 17 of 2025 on child protection in the digital environment. The regulation applies to digital gaming platforms operating in Indonesia. The Ministry stated that Roblox has 45 million users, including approximately 23 million children under the age of 16, and noted that the platform applies measures including mandatory age verification, automatic disabling of communication features for unverified accounts, age-based content restrictions, and parental controls for screen time and account management.
