Amended Act Concerning Personal Data Privacy and Online Monitoring (SB 6)
On 23 February 2022, the Bill for "An Act concerning personal data privacy and online monitoring" was redrafted by the Joint Committee on General Law of the Connecticut State Assembly. The new draft of the law establishes the liability of data controllers and processors as concerns data protection standards. Moreover, the Bill gives consumers the right to access, correct, delete, obtain a copy of personal data, and opt-out from the personal data processing aimed at targeted advertising, personal data sales and profiling.
