Implementation of Digital Platform Regulators Forum (DP-REG)

On 11 March 2022, the Australian Communications and Media Authority, the Australian Competition and Consumer Commission, the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner, and the Office of the eSafety Commissioner together formed the Digital Platform Regulators Forum (DP-REG). The initiative of these Australian regulators aims to enhance collaboration on the regulation of digital platforms, especially as concerns the interaction between competition, consumer protection, privacy and online safety topics. In particular, the Forum aims to improve data sharing, regulatory capabilities and collaboration opportunities.
