Description

Implemented designation of Amazon to the Groceries Supply Code of Practice

On 1 March 2022, the UK Competition and Markets Authority (CMA) has implemented the decision to designate Amazon under the "Groceries Market Investigation Order". Therefore, Amazon will have to comply with the "Groceries Supply Code of Practice", which applies to grocery retailers with an annual turnover of over £1 billion. The Code ensures that big grocery retailers treat suppliers fairly, for instance by limiting the change of supply contracts with short notice, delays in payments, and de-listing/de-positioning of goods.
