On 24 March 2026, the guidelines on unfair trade practices in multi-sided digital platform businesses under the Trade Competition Act entered into force upon publication in the Gazette. The guidelines apply to e-commerce digital platform operators, including sellers, carriers, advertisers, and payment providers. The guidelines define and prohibit a range of anti-competitive behaviours, including price-related practices such as predatory pricing, price discrimination, and excessive fees. It also prohibits non-price practices, including self-preferencing, coercive bundling, exclusive dealing, discriminatory ranking, and data leveraging. It provides for exemptions where justified by economic or business necessity.
