Digital Markets, Competition and Consumers Act (Alternative Dispute Resolution) (Fees) Regulations enter into force

On 6 April 2026, the Digital Markets, Competition and Consumers Act (Alternative Dispute Resolution) (Fees) Regulations enter into force. The Regulations set out three fees payable to the alternative dispute resolution (ADR) authority. The fee for an application for accreditation under section 296(1)(b) of the Act is GBP 6'151. The fee for an application for variation of accreditation under section 296(5) of the Act is GBP 950. The periodic fee payable by accredited ADR providers under section 299(1) of the Act is GBP 1'318, payable before the end of one month beginning with the relevant date, and thereafter before the end of one month beginning with the end of each successive period of six months following the relevant date. The relevant date is the last day of the period of six months beginning with the date on which the accreditation of the ADR provider takes effect.
