China: Published White Paper on Trustworthy Artificial Intelligence

On 9 July 2021, the China Academy of Information and Communications Technology (CAICT), a think tank of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology (MIIT), has published the White Paper on Trustworthy Artificial Intelligence containing background and guidance on the design of trustworthy artificial intelligence. The White Paper defines trustworthy AI as meeting a number of standards such as security, transparency, fairness, accountability, and privacy. The White Paper explains how trustworthy AI can be incorporated and supported at the government, research, and corporate levels.
