Philippine Amusement and Gaming Corp. announced Rules on advertising and responsible gaming for online gambling

On 11 February 2026, the Amusement and Gaming Corporation (PAGCOR) announced planned regulatory updates for licensed online gambling operators. The measures include advertising controls, know-your-customer (KYC) requirements, and additional responsible gaming initiatives. PAGCOR indicated that gambling advertisements are currently prohibited during primetime television and radio hours and that it is assessing whether to extend this restriction to all broadcast hours. The PAGCOR is also finalising guidelines, in coordination with the Advertising Standards Council, to govern gambling promotions on social media and other digital platforms. In relation to customer due diligence, PAGCOR announced revisions to the KYC process requiring registrants to submit a valid government-issued identification document and complete real-time selfie verification prior to making deposits. Further responsible gaming measures scheduled for the first quarter of 2026 include localised responsible gaming messaging, online self-exclusion tools, and the establishment of a 24-hour confidential counselling helpline.
