United States and Argentina signed Agreement on Reciprocal Trade and Investment (ARTI) including prohibition of customs duties on electronic transmissions

On 5 February 2026, the United States and Argentina signed the Agreement on Reciprocal Trade and Investment (ARTI). The Agreement prohibits the imposition of customs duties on electronic transmissions, including content transmitted electronically between the Parties. Additionally, both countries committed to advocating for the immediate and unconditional multilateral adoption of a permanent moratorium on such customs duties at the World Trade Organisation (WTO).
