Data (Use and Access) Act 2025 (Commencement No. 5) Regulations 2026 enter into force

On 6 February 2026, the Data (Use and Access) Act 2025 (Commencement No. 5) Regulations 2026 (2026 No. 31 (C. 4)) bring a provision from the Data (Use and Access) Act 2025 into force. The Regulations provide for the commencement of Section 138 of the Act, which amends the Sexual Offences Act 2003 to create the new offences of creating or requesting the creation of a purported intimate image of an adult.
