Roskomnadzor announces restriction of access to the Internet application Zello

On 6 March 2022, the Federal Service for Supervision of Communications, Information Technology and Mass Media of Russia, Roskomnadzor, announced that it will restrict access to the internet application Zello from 7 March 2022. Roskomnadzor stated that it has sent a letter to Zello on 4 March 2022, requiring it to stop the sharing of messages classified by the Russian government as false regarding the military operation in Ukraine. The decision to restrict access follows the Zello refusal to comply with the requirements within the timeframe set by Roskomnadzor.
