Roskomnadzor restricts access to Twitter in Russia

On 24 February 2022, the Federal Service for Supervision of Communications, Information Technology and Mass Media of Russia, Roskomnadzor, started restricting access to the platform Twitter, following the Prosecutor General's Office order. The Roskomnadzor implemented the decision based on Article 15.3 of the Federal Law No. 149-FZ, allowing the agency to restrict access to websites that have information inciting extremist activities, mass riots, or participation in events in violation of the law.
