On 21 January 2026, the Ministry of Industry and Trade opened a public consultation until 2 February 2026, on the draft Law amending Laws on commerce, competition, foreign trade management, and consumer protection, including export licensing requirement. The draft Law proposes amendments to the Law on Foreign Trade Management concerning export and import licensing, including allowing traders to self-certify the origin of exported goods. Further, the draft Law proposes an exception to licensing requirements which would allow businesses to re-import self-produced goods for repair or warranty purposes, and to subsequently return them to the customer, or re-export them to other markets.
