Bill on protecting minors from the risks arising from the use of social networks including advertising restrictions was passed by National Assembly

On 26 January 2026, the National Assembly passed at first reading, under the accelerated procedure, the Bill aimed at protecting minors from the risks associated with the use of social networks. The adopted text prohibits direct and indirect advertising of online social network services where such advertising is specifically targeted at minors, including advertising carried out by influencers or through commercial partnerships. It also requires promotions of these services to display a warning indicating that they are dangerous for persons under 15 years of age.
