Announced FSA cybersecurity recommendations for financial institutions

On 24 February 2022, the Japanese Financial Service Agency (FSA) released recommendations to strengthen financial institutions' cybersecurity. The recommendations involve measures to reduce risks, detect incidents and recover after incidents. In particular, financial institutions should make personal authentication more complex, understand the vulnerabilities of used ICTs assets and plan data backups and recovery procedures.
