Communications, Space and Technology Commission closes consultation on space sector regulations and guidelines

On 24 March 2026, the Communications, Space and Technology Commission closes the public consultation on the space sector regulations and guidelines. The guidelines set out the regulatory framework governing the conduct of space activities, including licensing and permitting methods, fees, duration, and renewal of licences and permits, and obligations of operators and permit holders. The consultation also covers the annexes to the space sector regulations and guidelines, which regulate space object operations, crewed and uncrewed spaceflights, spaceports, space resources, space surveillance and tracking, the national registry of space objects and launch operations, sustainability guidelines, and insurance guidelines for space activities.
