China: National National Information Security Standardisation Technical Committee issued draft plan for revising security specification for Integrated Circuit card embedded software with Central Processing Unit (GB/T 20276-2016 revision)

On 31 December 2025, the National National Information Security Standardisation Technical Committee (TC260) published a draft plan for the revision of the security specification for Integrated Circuit card embedded software with Central Processing Unit. The National Technical Committee on Network Security Standardisation (TC260) holds jurisdiction over the national standard, which revises the previous GB/T 20276-2016. The project working group is directed to formulate an implementation plan, coordinate with relevant parties, and solicit broad opinions to ensure technical accuracy and standard quality, with 30 April 2027 set as the deadline for completion of the project.
