Law No. 75/2025/QH15 amending and supplementing certain articles of the Law on Advertising including content moderation regulation enters into force

On 1 January 2026, Law No. 75/2025/QH15 enters into force, amending Article 23(7) of the Law on Advertising to establish content removal obligations in online advertising. Organisations and individuals participating in online advertising activities must block and remove unlawful advertisements within 24 hours of a request from a competent state authority. Where non-compliance occurs, the competent authority may implement technical measures to prevent violations and take legal action. Telecommunications enterprises and Internet service providers are required to block infringing advertisements upon request
