Vietnam: Government adopted Decree No. 342/2025/ND-CP detailing certain provisions of the Law on Advertising including business registration requirement

On 26 December 2025, the Government adopted Decree No. 342/2025/ND-CP, which specifies certain provisions of the Law on Advertising, and introduces a business registration requirement for organisations and enterprises providing online advertising services in Vietnam. The Decree enters into force on 15 February 2026. Article 19 requires domestic and foreign providers of online advertising services to notify the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism with their contact information before commencing operations, and to repeat the procedure upon any change in contact information. Providers must also submit of annual periodic reports and ad hoc reports upon request.
