On 9 December 2025, the Bill on Fairness of Online Platform Intermediary Transactions was introduced in the National Assembly. The Bill establishes rules addressing unilateral conduct by online platform intermediary service providers that may lead to the abuse of market power. It prohibits unfair trade practices in online platform intermediary transactions, including unjustified suspension or refusal of intermediary services, discriminatory treatment of online platform user businesses, coercion into unwanted transactions, forced provision of economic benefits, and the imposition or modification of disadvantageous transaction conditions. The Bill also prohibits retaliatory measures against online platform user businesses for forming or participating in user business associations, requesting dispute mediation, filing reports, or cooperating with investigations or surveys conducted by the Fair Trade Commission.
