Artificial Intelligence Bill of Rights (SB 482) including public procurement blacklisting was introduced to Florida Senate

On 22 December 2025, the Artificial Intelligence Bill of Rights (SB 482), including public procurement blacklisting, was introduced to the Florida Senate. Governmental entities would be prohibited from knowingly entering into contracts for artificial intelligence technology, software, or products with entities owned by, controlled by, organised under the laws of, or having their principal place of business in, a foreign country of concern. These prohibitions would apply to contracts in whole or in part, including options within broader procurement arrangements. Entry into force is set for 1 July 2026.
