Introduced New York Digital Advertising Tax Act (S1124)

On 7 January, 2021, the New York Digital Advertising Tax Act (S1124) was introduced to the New York State Senate by Michael Gianaris. The Act applies the gross revenues tax of the State of New York to digital advertising services, namely digital interface advertising, banner advertising, search engine advertising, and interstitial adverstising. The tax rate ranges from 2.5% to 10%, depending on the person's annual gross revenues.
