On 25 December 2025, the Ministry of Trade announced a Notification of fee increase under Law No. 6563 on the Regulation of Electronic Commerce. This Notification increases the administrative fines specified in Article 12 of Law No. 6563 on the Regulation of Electronic Commerce by 25.49%. Article 12 concerns fees imposed upon companies providing electronic contract services for violations of the obligation to provide customers with information concerning company identification, technical steps to ensure contract conclusion, technical information for correction of input errors, and applicable privacy rules. It also concerns fees imposed for failing to clearly display contract terms at the order confirmation state and for e-commerce companies sending electronic commercial messages without user consent, as well as several additional obligations for e-commerce platforms and providers of services utilising electronic contracts. The increase aligns with the 2025 revaluation rate for the Tax Procedure Law. The revised fine amounts will apply from 1 January 2026 to 31 December 2026. The Communiqué was prepared in accordance with Article 12 of Law No. 6563, Article 17 of Misdemeanours Law No. 5326, and Article 298 of Tax Procedure Law No. 213.
