Indonesia: Ministry of Communication and Digital Affairs confirmed X Corp's compliance with local representative office requirements

On 13 December 2025, Indonesia’s Ministry of Communication and Digital Affairs confirmed that X Corp. formally appointed a representative to follow up on the administrative fine payment process. Regulation No. 5 of 2020 on private electronic system operators requires platforms to establish a representative office or liaison officer in Indonesia and to appoint an official contact person responsible for content moderation, takedowns, and regular reporting of harmful content.
