Law on Artificial Intelligence including registration requirement was introduced to National Assembly

On 27 November 2025, the Law on Artificial Intelligence was introduced to the National Assembly of Vietnam, establishing registration-related obligations for high-risk artificial intelligence systems applicable to suppliers. Article 10(1) requires the supplier to classify the artificial intelligence system before deployment. Article 10(3) requires suppliers of high-risk artificial intelligence systems to notify the Ministry of Science and Technology of the classification results through the one-stop electronic portal on artificial intelligence before putting the system into use. Article 8(1) provides that the one-stop electronic portal on artificial intelligence supports receipt of classification notifications and public disclosure of information on artificial intelligence systems. Article 8(2) provides for a national database on artificial intelligence systems serving management, monitoring, and public disclosure in accordance with the law.
