On 27 November 2025, the Law on Artificial Intelligence was introduced to the National Assembly of Vietnam, setting out design requirements for high-risk artificial intelligence systems applicable to suppliers. Article 14(1)(a) requires the establishment and maintenance of risk management measures and regular review when significant changes or new risks arise. Article 14(1)(b) requires managing training, testing, and operational data to ensure quality within technical capabilities and in accordance with the intended use. Article 14(1)(c) requires establishing, updating, and maintaining technical records and operational logs for conformity assessment and post-commissioning inspection. Article 14(1)(d) requires designing the system to ensure the ability of humans to monitor and intervene. Article 11(1) requires that artificial intelligence systems interacting directly with humans are designed and operated so that users are aware of the interaction. Article 11(2) requires that audio, visual, and video content generated by artificial intelligence systems is marked in a machine-readable format.
