China: National Information Security Standardisation Technical Committee framework for public key cryptography application technology in network security enters into force

On 1 July 2026, the National Information Security Standardisation Technical Committee (TC260) Framework for Public Key Cryptography Application Technology in Network Security (GB/T 46795-2025) enters into force. The standard applies to all public-key cryptography technologies and products. It establishes a four-layer framework, including a cryptographic device layer, a general cryptographic service layer, a typical cryptographic service layer, and a cryptographic infrastructure layer.
