On 6 December 2025, the Cyberspace Administration of China closes the consultation on the draft administrative measures for cybersecurity identification. The draft measures set out a framework for the use of cybersecurity labels, which can be used to certify the cybersecurity levels of products with internet connectivity functions. Producers are encouraged to make use of these labels for their own products. The draft measures set out a tiered rating system, based on the level of cybersecurity measures, and set out basic formal specifications for cybersecurity labels. Further, the measures specify that a catalogue of products that require the use of cybersecurity labels will be established. The first such product class is consumer internet cameras.
