On 15 August 2025, the Ministry of Science and Technology closed the public consultation, which had been open since 12 August 2025. The Draft Law requires agencies, organisations, and individuals to comply with legal requirements on network information security, cybersecurity, data, and personal data protection under Article 65(1). It obliges businesses that own digital platforms to develop tools to proactively screen, detect, and process harmful, illegal, fake, and fraudulent content in order to protect users under Article 65(2). It further requires information systems serving digital transformation, including those operated by organisations and businesses, to implement measures to ensure cybersecurity, protect personal data, and handle violations in cyberspace in accordance with cybersecurity and personal data protection law under Article 65(3).
