Law on Technology Transfer (Law No. 07/2017/QH14) including authorisation of goods or services entered into force

On 1 July 2018, the Law on Technology Transfer (Law No. 07/2017/QH14) entered into force, activating the authorisation regime for restricted and banned technologies. The Ministry of Science and Technology commenced the issuance of Technology Transfer Licences for restricted technologies, based on environmental, safety, and technical criteria. The Law provides procedural requirements for applications, licensing, and revocation, and repeals the Law on Technology Transfer No. 80/2006/QH11 as of this date.
