Law on Technology Transfer (Law No. 07/2017/QH14) including technology transfer requirement entered into force

On 1 July 2018, the Law on Technology Transfer (Law No. 07/2017/QH14) entered into force, implementing the national framework for technology transfer, including mandatory procedures for contract registration, appraisal, and licensing. The Law provides for the approval of restricted technologies, defines administrative competence for technology appraisal, and establishes obligations for parties to maintain documentation and comply with reporting procedures. It repeals the Law on Technology Transfer No. 80/2006/QH11 as of this date.
