On 30 September 2025, the Dutch Ministry of Economic Affairs adopted an order against Nexperia under the Goods Availability Act over governance issues. Nexperia produces chips for the European automotive and consumer electronics sectors. The order allows the government to block or reverse company decisions that may harm the company’s interests, its future as a Dutch and European enterprise, or the preservation of critical technological capabilities, while regular production can continue. The order follows indications that the chief executive officer transferred assets and intellectual property to a foreign entity.
