Description

Cybersecurity Law, including import license requirement was introduced to National Assembly

On 31 October 2025, the Cybersecurity Law, including import license requirements was introduced to the National Assembly. The law requires organisations importing cybersecurity products to obtain certification and declare conformity with technical regulations before importation. In addition, it also focuses on securing import licences from the relevant authorities. Such licences would be granted provided the organisation is already licensed to trade in cybersecurity products, the products comply with applicable customs laws, and their intended use does not pose a risk to national defence, security, public order, or safety.
