Vietnam: Cybersecurity Law including cybersecurity obligations was introduced to National Assembly

On 31 October 2025, the Cybersecurity Law, including cybersecurity obligations, was introduced to the National Assembly. The law requires information system managers to implement measures to detect, prevent, and respond to illegal intrusions through cybersecurity inspections. It also focuses on implementing technical and organisational measures to counter cyber espionage. It also requires the removal of any confidential information on their systems and is required to coordinate with the specialised cybersecurity protection force in efforts to prevent and combat cyber espionage.
