Ministry of the Interior and Safety released public sector AI ethics principles

On 3 November 2025, the Ministry of the Interior and Safety (MOIS) released public sector artificial intelligence (AI) ethics principles applicable to central administrative authorities, local governments, public institutions, and local public enterprises, to ensure public trust in AI deployment while supporting administrative innovation. It includes 6 principles: public interest, fairness, transparency, accountability, safety, and privacy protection. The framework provides more than 90 checklist items for public sector personnel to self-assess compliance when introducing and operating AI systems, including disclosure of implementation processes, mitigation of discriminatory outcomes, assignment of administrative responsibility, prevention of harm, and protection of personal information.
