Hungary: Section 3(2) and Section 10 of Act LXXV of 2025 on the implementation of the European Union Regulation on Artificial Intelligence in Hungary including artificial intelligence authority governance enter into force

On 2 August 2026, Section 3(2) and Section 10 of Act LXXV of 2025 on the implementation of the European Union Regulation on Artificial Intelligence in Hungary enter into force. These provisions require the AI market surveillance authority to operate the AI regulatory test environment defined in Article 3(55) and Article 57 of Regulation (EU) 2024/1689 and empower the minister to set detailed operating rules, including cooperation by other authorities, aligned with Article 58. To enable operation of the test environment, the minister may allocate state-maintained high-performance computing capacity.
