United Kingdom: Digital Regulation Cooperation Forum opened consultation as part of inquiry into Agentic AI regulatory challenges

On 10 October 2025, the Digital Regulation Cooperation Forum (DRCF) opened consultation as part of an inquiry into Agentic AI regulatory challenges until 6 November 2025. Agentic AI includes AI systems capable of autonomous decision-making and initiating actions without direct human prompts. The DRCF aims to gather information on practical challenges and regulatory uncertainties businesses face when developing or deploying Agentic AI, particularly regarding liability, data protection, and copyright. The DRCF aims to assess how existing regulations affect innovation, identify useful forms of informal guidance, examine sector-specific issues in areas such as finance and law, and consider potential future risks and opportunities.
