European Union and Indonesia concluded negotiations on Comprehensive Economic Partnership Agreement, including competition regulation

On 23 September 2025, the European Union (EU) and Indonesia concluded negotiations on the Comprehensive Economic Partnership Agreement (CEPA). The Agreement requires the Parties to maintain effective competition laws enforced by independent authorities. The authorities must act transparently, respect defence rights, and cooperate with each other.
