European Union and Indonesia concluded negotiations on Comprehensive Economic Partnership Agreement, including intellectual property protection

On 23 September 2025, the European Union (EU) and Indonesia concluded negotiations on the Comprehensive Economic Partnership Agreement (CEPA). The Agreement covers copyrights, trademarks, designs, geographical indications, patents and trade secrets and plant varieties. It also sets enforcement measures and compliance with relevant international intellectual property treaties.
