On 23 September 2025, the State Administration for Market Regulation released the third batch of typical cases in live e-commerce, presenting six rulings by local market supervision authorities. In August 2025, the Shanghai Huangpu District Market Supervision Bureau fined Shanghai Dexin Hospital CNY 200’000 and ordered it to stop false advertising under Article 34 of the Interim Provisions on Anti-Unfair Competition on the Internet and Article 20(1) of the Anti-Unfair Competition Law, after discovering fabricated videos and user reviews promoting medical packages. In July 2025, the same authority imposed a CNY 100’000 penalty on Shanghai Immersive Opportunity Technology Development for using fabricated video testimonials to market VR projects. In May 2025, the Xiamen Municipal Market Supervision Bureau in Fujian Province fined Xiamen Xianmiao Network Technology CNY 450’000 for livestream promotions that falsely claimed government support, fabricated partnerships, and exaggerated returns. That same month, the Market Supervision Bureau of Zhenping County in Henan Province fined Zhuozhiyu Jade Sales Shop CNY 100’000 for misleading livestream promotions of jade accessories with false claims about origin, scarcity, and investment value. In January 2025, the Ninghai County Market Supervision Bureau in Ningbo City, Zhejiang Province, fined Ningbo Xuanmeilin Lighting Technology CNY 61’000, confiscated 37 unqualified desk lamps, and ordered production and sales to stop for violations of the Product Quality Law. Also in May 2025, the Kunming Municipal Market Supervision Bureau in Yunnan Province fined Yunnan Shihe Tea CNY 200’000 for livestream promotions of tea products with fabricated imperial and commemorative claims.
