Brazil-Georgia signed Memorandum of Understanding on personal data protection

On 17 September 2025, the National Data Protection Authority (ANPD) of Brazil and the Personal Data Protection Service (PDPS) of Georgia signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) during the 47th Global Privacy Assembly (GPA) in Seoul, Republic of Korea. The MOU, negotiated since December 2024 and approved in April 2025, sets out cooperation on personal data protection through technical, regulatory, and oversight collaboration. It provides for the exchange of information on investigations, joint inspections, mutual technical support, education and training initiatives, awareness-raising activities, and joint research projects.
