On 29 August 2025, the Korea Fair Trade Commission (KFTC) imposed corrective orders and administrative fines of KRW 1 million each on AliExpress and its related entities, including Alibaba, Singapore E-Commerce Private Limited, AliExpress Korea Holding (Singapore), and AliExpress Korea. In addition to corrective orders and public announcement obligations, the KFTC imposed surcharges totalling KRW 20.93 billion, comprising KRW 900 million on Oceansky and KRW 20.03 billion on MICTW.
