Opened consultation on Spain Law implementing the EU Audiovisual and Media Services Directive
The Spanish Competition authority (Comisión Nacional de los Mercados y la Competencia, CNMC) opened a consultation on the Draft Law implementing the EU Audiovisual and Media Services Directive. The consultation will be closed on 13 November 2020. The law intends to finance the public broadcaster RTVE by imposing a levy equal to 1.5 per cent of net annual revenue for Video On Demand services and video-sharing platforms.
