National Information Security Standardisation Technical Committee Public Key Infrastructure Component Minimum Interoperability Specifications (GB/T 19771-2025) enters into force

On 1 February 2026, the National Information Security Standardisation Technical Committee (TC260) Public Key Infrastructure Component Minimum Interoperability Specifications (GB/T 19771-2025) enters into force. It fully replaces the earlier GB/T 19771-2005 version. The new standard specifies the basic functional requirements for the interoperability of public key infrastructure components, provides data formats and evaluation methods, and is applicable to the design, development, testing and application of PKI components. A Public Key Infrastructure (PKI) system is a security framework comprising four core components, including Certificate Authority (CA), Registration Authority (RA), certificate holder, and certificate verifier.
