China: National Information Security Standardisation Technical Committee issued Information Technology Security Policy on Public Key Infrastructure Security Management Protocols (GB/T 19714-2025)

On 1 August 2025, the National Information Security Standardisation Technical Committee (TC260) issued the Information Technology Security Policy on Public Key Infrastructure Security Management Protocols (GB/T 19714-2025). The standard will enter into force on 1 February 2026 and fully replaces the earlier GB/T 19714-2005 version. The standard defines the communication protocols for certificate management between components within a public key infrastructure. The new standard unifies the formats of public key infrastructure and simplifies system component docking. It also provides a reference for the design, development, and operation of public key infrastructure. Additionally, the standard aims to facilitate cross-system certificate management interoperability.
