Electronic Transactions Development Agency announced designation of digital platform services classified as online marketplace platforms pursuant to Article 20 of the Royal Decree on Digital Platform Service Businesses Requiring Notification (Anouncement No. 4/2025)

On 9 July 2025, the Electronic Transactions Development Agency (ETDA) announced a list of 19 digital marketplace platforms required to comply with Section 20 of the Royal Decree on the Operation of Digital Platform Services Requiring Notification, B.E. 2565 (2022), which sets obligations for certain platform operators. Section 20 of Thailand’s 2022 Royal Decree requires designated high-impact digital marketplaces to assess and mitigate risks, and to share information with authorities to address legal violations and protect public trust. The listed platforms include Shopee, Lazada, One2car.com, Grab, Kaidee.com, SIA E-AUCTION SYSTEM, LINE SHOPPING, Alibaba, Nocnoc, AliExpress, Thisshop, Rakmao, Taobao, SCGHome, ONESIAM Application, ReadyPlastic Auction, ROOTS platform, TEMU, and eBay.
