On 10 July 2025, the Communications Regulatory Authority (AGCOM) issued an order requiring the blocking of the ytgoconverter platform due to non-compliance with the Law on copyright protection (Order No. 105/25/DDA). The order follows a complaint by the Federation Against Music and Multimedia Piracy (FPM), which alleged that the site enabled users to download permanent MP3 copies from streaming platforms such as YouTube, thereby infringing copyright. The AGCOM found evidence that the site violated the Copyright Law by facilitating "stream ripping" for profit through advertising and subscription models. Under the order, providers must block DNS access to the platform within two days and redirect users to a designated AGCOM page. The platform’s operators may stop the service voluntarily to have the order revoked.
