Data Protection Authority issued resolution fining Vodafone Spain EUR 20'000 for direct marketing violations
On 31 March 2025, the Spanish Data Protection Authority (AEPD) issued a resolution fining Vodafone Spain for alleged direct marketing violations. The AEPD fined Vodafone EUR 15'000 for sending unsolicited commercial emails and EUR 5'000 for failing to include an opt-out mechanism in emails, totalling EUR 20'000.
