Description

Department of Trade and Industry launched e-commerce trustmark

On 7 July 2025, the Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) launched the E-Commerce Philippine Trustmark. The Trustmark is designed to assure consumers that an online seller follows fair and transparent e-commerce practices in compliance with the Internet Transactions Act. The Act sets consumer protection and e-commerce standards and authorises DTI to enforce compliance, including the issuance of the Trustmark to eligible businesses. Businesses that obtain the Trustmark are officially registered with the DTI and demonstrate compliance with the Act's obligations.
